🔬 Why It Booms!
Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide at -78°C (-109°F)! That's WAY colder than regular ice. When it hits warm water, it skips being a liquid and goes straight to gas — this is called sublimation. The white fog you see is actually tiny water droplets that form when the super-cold CO₂ gas cools the air around it, just like your breath on a cold day!
